Indian Celebrities Laud Operation Sindoor as Pakistani Artists Face Backlash

India Responds with Force in Operation Sindoor

In a decisive move following the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam that left 26 people dead, India launched Operation Sindoor, a series of precision strikes targeting nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoJK). Conducted in the early hours of May 6–7, 2025, the operation marked a significant response to growing cross-border threats. According to official sources, 24 missiles were launched during the strikes, resulting in the elimination of at least 80 terrorists and injury to several others. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized that the mission was “measured, proportionate, and aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure” to prevent further attacks.

Bollywood and Film Fraternity Stand United with Armed Forces

The Indian film industry responded with resounding support for Operation Sindoor. Actor Chiranjeevi shared a powerful image released by the Indian Army, captioned simply with “Jai Hind.” Riteish Deshmukh posted, “Jai Hind Ki Sena… Bharat Mata Ki Jai!!!!!” while Kajal Aggarwal amplified a message of solidarity from Maitribodh Parivaar. Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken views, hailed the leadership behind the mission and prayed for the safety of India’s forces. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Anupam Kher, Madhur Bhandarkar, Preity Zinta, Nimrat Kaur, and Taapsee Pannu also praised the bravery of Indian troops, voicing unity and zero tolerance for terrorism. Actor-director Rajinikanth hailed the Prime Minister’s leadership, calling the operation “unstoppable.”

Pakistan Celebrities Face Backlash for Condemning Strikes

While Indian stars showed unflinching support for the counter-terror operation, a section of Pakistani artists voiced harsh criticism. Actors such as Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir, Mawra Hocane, and Bilal Abbas condemned the strikes, alleging civilian casualties and labeling the mission as cowardly. These reactions were met with severe backlash from Indian netizens, many of whom accused the artists of ignoring the Pahalgam massacre and defending terror sympathizers. Screenshots of now-inaccessible Pakistani social media posts have gone viral, fueling widespread outrage across platforms.

Political and Public Discourse Intensifies

The Indian government has called for an all-party meeting to address the developments post-Operation Sindoor. Intelligence agencies have warned of potential future attacks, stressing the necessity of this preemptive mission. As national unity intensifies, the cultural sphere has played a vital role in amplifying patriotic sentiment and reinforcing a collective call for justice.
