Sharad Pawar Hospitalised in Mumbai; Condition Stable

Mumbai, April 21: Sharad Pawar, president of the NCP (SP) and a Rajya Sabha member, has been admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai for a routine health check-up. Sources have confirmed that the 85-year-old leader is in stable condition and there are no serious health concerns.

According to reports Pawar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital two days ago for follow-up evaluation. A source stated, “He is in the hospital for a check-up and follow-up. There is nothing serious.”

Recently, Pawar took oath as a Rajya Sabha member while seated in a wheelchair and later addressed the media in Delhi.

Earlier in February, he was admitted to a private hospital in Pune after experiencing mild dehydration. He was kept under medical supervision for a few days before being discharged.

As per a statement from Ruby Hall Clinic, Pawar was treated with intravenous fluids during his stay. At the time, Dr. Purvez Grant, chief cardiologist and chairman of the hospital, had clarified that his condition was not serious. His treatment was overseen by Dr. Grant along with consultant physician Dr. Abhijit Lodha.

Pawar’s current hospitalisation is said to be precautionary, and his health remains stable.
