INS Sudarshini Departs Boston After Representing India at Sail250 Celebrations
New Delhi: The Indian Navy’s sail training ship INS Sudarshini departed Boston, USA, on July 25, 2026, as part of Lokayan 26, following a successful participation in the prestigious Sail250 celebrations and the International Naval Review 250.
During its visit to the United States, INS Sudarshini proudly represented India, showcasing the nation’s rich maritime heritage while strengthening international naval cooperation through professional engagements and cultural exchanges.
The vessel participated in Sail250 events at Norfolk, Baltimore, New York, and Boston, where it hosted dignitaries, members of the Indian diaspora, and international naval delegations. The engagements reinforced India’s commitment to maritime collaboration, friendship, and goodwill.
INS Sudarshini has now set sail for Ponta Delgada in the Azores, Portugal, continuing its voyage under Lokayan 26. The ship remains a symbol of India’s maritime excellence, professionalism, and commitment to fostering global partnerships through naval diplomacy.
