BJP Slams Sanjay Raut Over Opposition to Anti-Paper Leak Law
Mumbai: BJP Maharashtra Chief Spokesperson Navnath Ban on Monday launched a sharp attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut, accusing him of opposing the proposed anti-paper leak law to mislead the youth and create unrest. Ban said the Narendra Modi-led government is committed to introducing a stringent law to curb examination malpractices, and alleged that Raut’s criticism was politically motivated.
He claimed that the country’s youth, especially Gen Z, would welcome the legislation aimed at ensuring transparency and fairness in recruitment and competitive examinations. Ban also defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis against Raut’s remarks, asserting that the BJP government has strengthened higher education and infrastructure over the past 12 years. He further questioned Raut’s contribution as a Rajya Sabha MP, asking what tangible public development he had delivered during his tenure.
