Vignesh Narayanan has joined JioAds as VP-Business Head, Media. He announced that he has stepped down from his role as Business Head of Airtel Ads via LinkedIn. He will be working under CEO Gulshan Verma.
He wrote: “I’m excited to share that I am joining JioAds as VP-Business Head, Media. Looking forward to working with Gulshan Verma and the Jio Ads team to scale #Jioads and build the next billion $$$ business in the Jio family.”
Narayanan is an Ad-tech professional with over 17 years of experience in leadership roles spanning Adtech, E-commerce, and Banking. He began his career in banking sales before transitioning to e-commerce, where he held leadership positions at major global companies in India and Southeast Asia.
In his most recent role at Airtel, Narayanan was responsible for leading the Adtech business and overseeing functions across Business, Operations, Product, and Engineering. He was also accountable for driving P&L growth across Digital, Advanced TV, and Offline channels.
In 2016, Narayanan founded Silkrouter, a global B2C luxury e-commerce website focused on “Pre-Loved” luxury products from the US and Japan into APAC Markets.
He has also been associated with companies such as MediaMath, C1X Inc., Lazada Group, Reebonz.com, American Express, and Snapdeal in the past.
