Morocco Beat Haiti 4-2 Despite Isidor’s Wonder Goal

There’s something about the underdog that you just cannot help but love. And when Wilson Isidor summoned the power of the gods and channeled it through his right foot to score an extraordinary goal against Morocco.

That strike from Isidor, who plays for Premier League side Sunderland, gave Haiti an unlikely lead against Morocco, and even the Moroccan fans enjoyed it, with visuals capturing the shocked awe of the fans after the ball bulged the back of the net.

It wasn’t to be a fairytale victory for the underdog though, as goals from Saibari, Rahimi, and Yassine saw Morocco run out 4-2 winners in what was a memorable contest.

Elsewhere, Brazil overcame a lacklustre Scotland side 3-0, with Vinicius Junior scoring twice and Matheus Cunha rounding things off. Scotland’s hopes of qualification for the next round are now hanging by a thread, as they have to hope other results go their way. The Scots have netted 3 points so far in the group stages, but their goal difference of -3 could be a bridge too far to overcome.

In other games, Mexico overcame Czechia 3-0, while Bosnia and Herzegovina sealed Qatar’s exit from the World Cup with a 3-1 win. The Swiss sealed their qualification with a 2-1 win over Canada, who themselves have a nervy future to look forward to for qualification.
