@ State Government releases 344.74 crore for the July instalment
@ Eligible women from the Scheduled Caste category to receive the amount in their bank accounts soon

Women beneficiaries of the Maharashtra Government’s ambitious “Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin” scheme have received a major relief. The state government has approved the release of 344.74 crore to provide the July 2026 financial benefit to eligible women under the Scheduled Caste component during the financial year 2026-27. An official Government Resolution (GR) in this regard was issued by the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department on August 24, 2026.

For the financial year 2026-27, an overall provision of 3,000 crore has been sanctioned under the Scheduled Caste Special Component Programme for the “Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin” scheme. Of this allocation, 344.74 crore has been transferred through the Budget Distribution System to the Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, who is the administrative department head, to facilitate the disbursement of the July instalment to eligible beneficiaries.

According to the government’s directives, the Women and Child Development Department will be responsible for properly scrutinising the registered beneficiaries and ensuring that the benefit is provided only to eligible women belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Neo-Buddhist categories.

The department has also been directed to utilise the allocated funds strictly and economically. It will be mandatory for the concerned department to submit a monthly expenditure report and a utilisation certificate by the 10th of every month.

With the state government now releasing the funds, the July instalment is expected to be credited directly into the bank accounts of eligible women beneficiaries soon. The development has brought relief and cheer among beneficiaries of the scheme.
