Fadnavis Attends Pandharpur Wari Documentary Premiere

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the premiere of the documentary “Pandharpur Wari and the Footsteps of the Saints”, jointly produced by the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations (DGIPR), Maharashtra, and Warner Bros. Discovery. The premiere was held at an INOX multiplex in Mumbai.

Among those present were Legislative Council Chairman Prof. Ram Shinde, Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, MLAs Pravin Darekar and Niranjan Davkhare, Principal Secretary and Director General of DGIPR Brjesh Singh, Director Dr. Kishor Gangurde, Govind Ahankari, and Deputy Director Varsha Andhale.

The 22-minute documentary offers an immersive portrayal of the revered Pandharpur Wari, capturing its spiritual essence and the enduring legacy of Maharashtra’s saint tradition. Attendees said the film recreated the atmosphere of the sacred pilgrimage, making viewers feel as if they were part of the Wari itself.

Produced in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, the documentary has been dubbed into Marathi, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam. It is being broadcast across nine Discovery network channels, including Discovery, Discovery HD, TLC, TLC HD, Animal Planet, Animal Planet HD, Investigation Discovery (ID), Discovery Science, and Discovery Turbo, bringing Maharashtra’s rich spiritual heritage to audiences across India.
