Adarsh Nair, the Chief Product Officer at Bharti Airtel, has departed from the company after a dedicated five-year tenure, as per a regulatory filing by the telecommunications giant. His resignation, accepted on November 3, entails a notice period until February 15, 2024. Additionally, Nair serves as the CEO of Airtel Digital.

Throughout his impactful time at Bharti Airtel, Adarsh Nair played a pivotal role in the establishment of Airtel Finance, a fintech startup specializing in lending to new-to-credit users, disbursing a monthly sum of $20 million through machine learning-based credit scoring. He also contributed significantly to the growth of the Wynk Music app, which amassed a user base of 75 million.

Nair was instrumental in the creation of the Xstream video app, aggregating content from over 18 partners. His involvement extended to the development of Airtel IQ, a comprehensive cloud communication platform encompassing voice, SMS, and video, embraced by over 130 enterprise customers. Additionally, he oversaw the establishment of the Airtel IoT platform.

Reports suggest that Nair’s resignation is attributed to his plans of relocating to the United States, marking a significant shift in his professional trajectory.
