Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for "Jurassic World: Rebirth”

Dinosaurs might be little more than overgrown lizards, but they’ve captivated the collective consciousness of humans for decades now. Particularly so when they grace our silver screens. Imagine, then, the anticipation for the next Jurassic Park film.

Set five years following the events of “Jurassic World: Dominion,” “Jurassic World Rebirth” is directed by Gareth Edwards, who is the most known for his work in “Godzilla” (2014), and written by David Koepp, who wrote the screenplay for the first two “Jurassic Park” movies. It is trying to recreate the sense of awe, adoration, and fear that epitomised the beginning of the series.

The story

Under the leadership of palaeontologist Dr. Henry Loomis (played by Jonathan Bailey) and secret operations specialist Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson), a specialized team sets out on a risky quest to extract genetic material from three of the largest dinosaurs still alive. Their objective is to create a new medicine.

However, when they come across a civilian family lost on a prohibited island full of terrifying prehistoric giants, their adventure takes a risky turn.

The Star Cast

Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, and Luna Blaise join Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, each contributing unique inputs to this exciting journey. The movie features new characters instead of returning all the former actors like Chris Pratt or Bryce Dallas Howard.

Along with Edwards, producer Steven Spielberg returns to create the film. As the actors navigate a world where dinosaurs have grown a commonplace but are still dangerous, Edward seeks to invoke a sense of wonder and terror, drawing inspiration from classic horror and adventure films.

With its blend of new characters, action, and a return to its exciting roots, “Jurassic World: Rebirth” has fans excited to see how it will bring the cherished series. The latest movie will hit theatres on July 2, 2025.
