VK Group Wins “Most Preferred Workplace for Women 2025–26”

For over five decades, VK Group has been a defining presence in the architectural and urban landscape of India. From a humble practice of two professionals in 1973 to a multidisciplinary powerhouse of over 300 experts today, one vector remained consistent- the gender inclusivity.

Today, we are proud to announce that VK Group has been recognised as one of the Most Preferred Workplaces for Women 2025–26 at the prestigious Marksmen Daily summit in Mumbai. This recognition validates what we have long believed: when women are empowered with equitable opportunities, safe workspaces, and platforms to lead, they strengthen the industry. At VK, inclusion has never been a checkbox. The Group prefers talent, leadership & skills over gender parity. This perspective turned into our strength, providing a comfortable space for every woman on board.

The Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry globally, including India has been led by male-majority participation. According to the Council of Architecture (CoA, India) and NITI Aayog’s Women in Workforce Report (2023), women represent approximately 20% of registered architects and less than 15% of active site or project management professionals. Despite increasing enrollment in architecture schools, many women leave the profession due to barriers like a lack of mentors, wage gaps, and subtle forms of discrimination.

At VK Group, we treat inclusion as a collateral for hiring the right talent. With proper mentorship and transparent career progression in every vertical of our organisation, the global stats are altered in our microscale.

Leadership & Representation

Women at VK Group actively build the organisation. 50% of Board leadership positions are held by women, including project heads, principals, and partners, reflecting our long-standing commitment to equitable representation.

Career Advancement Opportunities

Meritocracy drives progression at VK Group. Women comprise 40% of our workforce, with representation across managerial (44%), technical (40%), non-technical (25%), and senior leadership roles (50%)—far exceeding the national benchmark of <20% in Architecture and Construction.

Across our five units — VK:a, VK:e, VK:i, VK:o, and VK:u — women lead projects, drive strategic decisions, and mentor peers. Structured talent development programmes, succession planning, and leadership exposure initiatives ensure that women have a supported, visible path to advancement.

Leadership is layered, collaborative, and designed to instil accountability and ownership at every level.

Equitable Pay & Compensation

At VK Group, fairness in compensation is non-negotiable. Gender parity is maintained across all levels—from junior designers to senior partners. We believe that talent, not gender, drives leadership, and our pay practices reflect that philosophy.

Work-Life Balance

We understand that professional success is intertwined with personal wellbeing. With 26 weeks maternity leave, return-to-work programmes with 80% resumption, hybrid work options, family-supportive project scheduling, and wellness initiatives, the Group Management ensures that our team can benefit holistically
