  1. Intel appoints Santhosh Viswanathan as VP and MD-India region of Intel  

Intel Corporation has recently made some changes to its Sales, Marketing, and Communications Group (SMG) leadership in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, as well as in the India region. They have appointed Santhosh Viswanathan as the Vice President and Managing Director of the newly formed India region. This move is part of Intel’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence and drive growth in these important markets. 

“We see massive business opportunities and growing momentum in India. By creating a separate region, we are enabling our teams, including our strong engineering base in India, to work closely with our customers. It is a very exciting time for Intel in India, and I am thrilled to lead our business in the country,” said Santhosh.   

Hans Chuang, hailing from Taiwan, has been named the new General Manager for SMG Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), effective immediately. In this role, Hans will assume responsibility for overseeing Intel’s operations throughout the APJ region. His duties will include driving revenue growth, fostering partnerships within the local ecosystem to uncover fresh prospects, and bolstering existing customer and partner relationships. 

“Leveraging the strength of our partners and continuing our commitment to building an open ecosystem that serves our customers transparently and securely is going to be key to our long-term success here in the APJ region,” said Hans.   

  1. Bajaj Housing Finance Appoints Sayanti Dutta as CHRO 

Past: HR professional at GE Capital, Walmart, Vodafone and other companies 

Present: Chief of Human Resource and Administration 

Bajaj Housing Finance recently welcomed Sayantani Dutta as their new Chief of Human Resources and Administration. With over two decades of experience in the industry, Sayantani is a versatile HR professional who has worked in renowned organizations. She joined Bajaj Housing Finance in March and now holds the responsibility of collaborating with different departments to drive the company’s people-centric initiatives. 

Sayantani, known for her solution-oriented approach, is well-equipped to handle various aspects of HR, including employee development, talent management, organizational design, and rewards. 

Prior to joining Bajaj Housing Finance, Sayantani has contributed her expertise to companies like GE Capital, Walmart, Vodafone, and Kotak Mahindra Bank. She holds an MBA in HR from XIMB, Bhubaneshwar. 

  1. APEX Acreages onboards Harleen Kaur as CHRO

Present: Chief Human Resource Human Officer at APEX Acreages 

APEX Acreages, a real estate company, has brought on board Harleen Kaur as their Chief Human Resources Officer. Kaur has joined the team at APEX Acreages with over twenty years of experience in the industry. 

Before joining APEX Acreages, Harleen held the position of General Manager – Human Resources at Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrows. Prior to that, she served as Associate Director – HR at Lovely Professional University. 

Having graduated from the National Institute of Management Solutions (NIMS), Harleen began her career in 1997 as a human resources manager at Tata AIG General Insurance. 

  1. Poonam Burman joins Godrej Industries as CHRO 

Past: HR Director role at Hindustan Unilever 

Present: Chief Human Resource Officer at Godrej Industries  

The Chemicals division of Godrej Industries has brought Poonam Burman on board as their new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). 

With nearly thirty years of experience in strategic HR business partnerships across a wide range of industries such as FMCG, IT product development, automobiles, textiles, oil & gas engineering services, mining products and services, and telecom, Poonam joins Godrej Industries from Unilever. 

In her most recent role at Unilever, she served as the Business HR Leader for the Beauty and Well-being and Personal Care Business Group. She also held the position of Interim HR Director for Unilever Sri Lanka and Category HR Head for South Asia in the Beauty, Well-being, and Personal Care division. Prior to that, she has worked at Haldia Petrochemicals and Lexmark. 

  1. Bajaj Auto appoints Ramtilak Ananthan as CTO 

Past: Headed Test & Validation at R&D department of Bajaj Auto Limited 

Present: Chief Technology Officer at Bajaj Auto appoints  

According to the company’s exchange filing, Bajaj Auto have appointed Ramtilak Ananthan as Chief Technology Officer and part of Senior Management Personnel of the company. 

Before his appointment as CTO, Ramtilak Ananthan ran the Test & Validation at R&D department of Bajaj Auto Limited. He started his career at Bajaj Auto Limited in April 1994, and holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa, USA and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. 

Ramtilak started off in the CAE team developing programs for 1D simulations for Engine performance. In the initial phase of his career at Bajaj Auto Limited, he worked on design and development of M804S Engine platform, 3D Combustion simulations, Combustion measurement & analysis. 

After stints as Senior Manager – CAE R&D and an elevation to the position of Vice President – R&D, Ramtilak was eventually promoted to the position of Head – R&D in 2019 to spearhead the complete Test & Validation function. Over the last 3 years, he has led the transition of all Bajaj products to BS6 and OBD2A norms. 

  1. HDFC Life Insurance Company appoints Keki Mistry as Chairman of the Board

HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited announced the appointment of Keki M Mistry as the Chairman of the Board. He succeeds Deepak S Parekh, who has decided to step down as the Chairman and Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from April 18, 2024. Keki M Mistry has been associated with the Company since December 2000 and is currently acting as Non-Executive Director. 

Keki M Mistry, a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, brings his expertise to the table. He served as the Vice Chairman & CEO of Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) Limited. Following the merger of HDFC Limited with HDFC Bank, Mistry retired from HDFC Limited but now holds the position of Non-Executive Director on the Board of HDFC Bank Limited. In addition to this role, he serves as a Director on the Boards of several other prominent Companies. 

Mistry’s contributions extend beyond the corporate sector. He is also a valued Member of the Primary Market Advisory committee (PMAC) established by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). With his extensive knowledge and experience, Mistry continues to make a significant impact in various domains. 

  1. Brickwork Ratings appoints Santosh B Nayar as Chairman

Brickwirks Ratings has announced the appointment of Santosh B Nayar as its Chairman. 

With a remarkable career that spans almost forty years in the Banking Industry, Nayar brings a vast amount of experience in various areas such as Corporate, Investment, Retail, and International Banking, Project Finance, and Life Insurance. Nayar’s appointment is a clear indication of Brickwork Ratings’ dedication to excellence and serves to strengthen its position as a reliable partner in the financial sector, according to the statement. 

Nayar held the position of Chairman and Managing Director at India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL), where he played a crucial role in shaping reforms within the infrastructure sector. His contributions include being a member of the Dr. Kelkar Committee, which focused on revisiting and revitalizing the PPP Model of Infrastructure Development. Additionally, he also chaired the Committee responsible for resolving major distressed infrastructure and core industry projects. As stated, Nayar currently serves as the Chairman of Reliance Nippon Life Insurance Company Limited. 

On his appointment as Chairman, Nayar said, “I am committed to revitalizing Brickwork’s opportunities by emphasizing professionalism and leveraging technology. Our newly formed Board, with its distinguished background and diverse expertise, is integral to this endeavour.”
