In Varaganeri, Tiruchi, 36-year-old T. Vaitheeswaran exemplifies the power of hard work despite physical challenges. Affected by polio at age two, Vaitheeswaran, who now crawls to move, juggles two roles – a senior executive at a healthcare firm and a food delivery person, clocking 16-hour workdays.
His day kicks off at 6 a.m., accepting orders from nearby eateries. Despite the absence of ramps or disabled-friendly facilities, he crawls to pick up parcels and delivers them via his two-wheeler, undeterred by scorching temperatures. Raised by his father, Thirunavukarasu, a daily wage laborer, Vaitheeswaran learned self-sufficiency early on.
