Jio Cinema is set to stream the gems of HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery in India. Reliance Industries Ltd-controlled Viacom18 Media Private Limited has signed a new multi-year agreement to bring titles from the premium American studio to Indian audiences. The deal is pegged at ₹900-1,000 crore and will help Jio Cinema attract premium English content-consuming audiences.
As per the deal, starting next month, HBO Original, Max Original and Warner Bros. television series will premiere on Jio Cinema on the same day as the U.S.
