Himanchal crisis : Vikramaditya Singh, Resigns as Minister in Himachal Pradesh

In a surprising move, Vikramaditya Singh, the son of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, has resigned as a Minister in the Himachal Pradesh government. Singh, a prominent leader in the region, cited dissatisfaction with the government’s treatment of his father as one of the reasons for his resignation.

In his statement, Vikramaditya Singh said: “The Congress party won elections in the name of Virbhadra Singh, but this government did not even give a small piece of land for his statue on Mall Road. This is not just about my father, but about respecting the mandate of the people.”

He also mentioned: “I will have video consultations with my people and then decide about the future course of action.”

Vikramaditya Singh’s resignation comes at a time when the BJP is perceived to be weak in the Shimla region, largely due to the influence of his family. His decision is likely to have significant implications for the political landscape in Himachal Pradesh, especially in the run-up to the upcoming elections.

Political analysts are closely watching the developments following Vikramaditya Singh’s resignation, as it could potentially reshape the political dynamics in the state.
