Abbott Appoints Shefali Singh to Lead Marketing Vision

Abbott has appointed Shefali Singh to lead the marketing of the company, where she will lead marketing initiatives across the company’s portfolio with a focus on strengthening brand performance and driving business growth. Singh took to her LinkedIn to announce this news where she wrote, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Marketing at Abbott!”

Before joining Abbott, Singh spent over four years at Alembic Pharmaceuticals, where she steadily progressed through a series of leadership roles. Beginning as an Assistant Product Manager, she advanced to Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, and eventually Group Product Manager. During this time, she was involved in developing marketing strategies, managing product portfolios, and supporting the growth of key therapeutic brands.

Earlier in her career, Singh also worked as a Product Executive at Mankind Pharma, where she gained hands-on experience in pharmaceutical marketing and product management. She also served as an Assistant Professor at Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions, bringing an academic perspective to her industry expertise.

Academically, Singh has a strong foundation in both healthcare and business. She holds an MBA in Marketing from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), along with a master’s degree in pharmacology and a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from GLA University. Her blend of scientific knowledge and marketing expertise positions her well to lead Abbott’s marketing function in an increasingly competitive healthcare landscape.

Her appointment reflects Abbott’s continued focus on investing in experienced leaders who can navigate an evolving healthcare landscape while creating meaningful connections with healthcare professionals and consumers alike.
