Kareena Kapoor has one major regret about her Bollywood journey: ‘I didn’t study after class 11’

Kareena Kapoor Khan has managed to accomplish what many aspiring actors long for. Over the course of more than 20 years of her career in the film industry, she has made her name as one of the proud leading actresses in Bollywood. On the other hand, despite the many successes she achieved during her career, the actress has expressed her regret over one thing that she did in her earlier years and considers that it was a mistake-maker, which is that she didn’t finish her education.
Kareena Kapoor regrets leaving education for films
Talking to Hanuman Dass openly, Kareena recollected the time she decided to quit studies and concentrated on acting. The actress confessed that she stopped her education after class 11 since she was keen to go to the film industry and become a successful actress.
“Education is something I do regret not completing. I never finished my education, and that was something that kind of stayed with me. Even though I had the opportunity, I got into movies and didn’t study any further after Class 11,” Kareena said.
The actress acknowledged that people may have opinions about her decision, but at the time, following her passion for acting was extremely important to her.
“I know a lot of people can make fun of that or say whatever they want, but I wanted to prove myself as an actor. That was something I wanted to do – to follow my heart,” she added.
Kareena wishes for her sons to finish school
It’s interesting to note that Kareena’s own experiences have an impact on how she views education for her kids Taimur and Jeh, and while she wants them to pursue the passion that pleases them, she wants them to finish their education first. “That’s why I have pushed my boys to finish their education first and then follow their hearts,” the actress said.
Kareena also shared how her own past regrets have made her resonate with the issue of girls’ education when UNICEF asked her to be involved in their campaign.

The actress also discussed her experience of being a mother and how different it was bringing up two boys after having a sister in Karisma Kapoor. “Me and Karisma were two sisters, so having two boys is completely different. It’s almost like an out-of-body experience because I never grew up with a brother or a boy sibling,” Kareena said.
She also shared that Taimur dreams of becoming a cricketer or a footballer someday. Kareena revealed that she and Saif Ali Khan want their son to pursue his passion instead of expecting him to join the legacy of films in their family.
Kareena’s next film
As far as professional life is concerned, she is preparing for Daayra, an investigative movie that is helmed by Meghna Gulzar. Alongside Kareena, actors Prithvviraj Sukumaran also stars in the film.
