Parth Jindal Takes Charge as Chairman of JSW MG Motor India, Eyes Green Mobility Growth

Parth Jindal has taken charge as Chairman of JSW MG Motor India, marking a new chapter for the automaker as it looks to accelerate its growth in electric and new-energy mobility.

Jindal has been associated with the company’s Board since the formation of the joint venture between JSW Group and SAIC Motor. In his new role, he will help steer the company’s next phase of expansion, with a focus on new-energy vehicles, localisation, manufacturing and strengthening India’s green mobility ecosystem.

The appointment comes as JSW MG Motor India expands its product portfolio and manufacturing footprint. The company plans to introduce four new models in FY27 and aims for new-energy vehicles to contribute 70–80% of its overall sales. Its manufacturing capacity at the Halol facility in Gujarat is also expected to increase from around 1.1 lakh units annually to 1.6 lakh units by March 2027 and 2.2 lakh units by January 2028.

Jindal brings a diverse leadership portfolio across the JSW Group. He serves as Managing Director of JSW Cement and JSW Paints, Chairman of JSW Dulux Limited and Director of JSW Energy. His responsibilities span sectors including manufacturing, consumer businesses and energy, giving him experience across several strategic growth areas.

Beyond the group’s core businesses, Jindal is the Founder of JSW Sports and serves as Chairman and Co-Owner of the Delhi Capitals franchise, adding sports management and brand-building to his leadership experience.

His elevation at JSW MG Motor India comes at a pivotal time for India’s automotive industry, as consumer demand for electric mobility grows and manufacturers increase investments in local production and clean-technology solutions.

With Jindal at the helm, JSW MG Motor India is positioned to deepen its focus on electric mobility while scaling its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets.
