    DTDC Express Ltd, a leading express logistics provider in India, has recently promoted Abhishek Chakraborty to the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective from April 3. In his new role, Abhishek will drive DTDC forward, cementing its position as a trailblazer in the logistics industry. 

    Prior to taking on this new responsibility, Abhishek served as the Executive Director of DTDC for a remarkable 15 years. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in establishing a strategic partnership between DTDC and Geopost (owned by La Poste). Additionally, he spearheaded the successful collaboration between DTDC and Amarex.

    1. Srinivas Pallia Appointed as Wipro CEO as Thierry Delaporte steps down 

    Thierry Delaporte has decided to step down from his role as the CEO and managing director of Wipro, a decision he made in order to pursue his personal interests outside of work. In response to this, Wipro has announced the appointment of Srinivas Pallia as the new CEO and managing director. Srinivas has been a part of Wipro for more than thirty years, and this change in leadership is effective immediately. 

    “I’d like to express my gratitude to Thierry for his leadership at Wipro. The changes he implemented have better positioned us for the future, said Rishad Premji, Chairman of Wipro. “We have optimised our structure, enhanced our leadership, prioritised partnerships, and improved our overall efficiency. This provides a strong foundation for Srini to effectively build upon.”  

    “Thierry will continue until the end of May, working closely with Srinivas and me to ensure a smooth transition,” added Premji. Having been with Wipro since 1992, Srini has held several key leadership positions, including President of Wipro’s Consumer Business Unit and Global Head of Business Application Services.  

    According to a statement from the company, during his time in office, he implemented plans to boost market share in various industries. These strategies were carefully developed and successfully executed. Premji expressed confidence in Pallia’s leadership, stating, “Srini is an ideal leader to lead Wipro at this pivotal moment for our company and industry.”

    1. Yam Kum Weng Appointed as Group CEO of Changi Airport Group 

    After an incredible 15-year run, Mr. Lee Seow Hiang, the head honcho of Changi Airport Group (CAG), will be hanging up his hat on July 1. The big announcement, courtesy of CAG on April 9, marks the end of an era for one of the world’s most acclaimed airport operators. 

    Stepping into Mr. Lee’s shoes will be none other than Mr. Yam Kum Weng, the maestro of airport development and CAG’s executive vice-president. With his extensive experience and a knack for leading the Changi East project, Mr. Yam is a seasoned pro in the airport game. 

    This move to appoint Mr. Yam as Mr. Lee’s successor underscores CAG’s commitment to keeping the momentum going and cementing their status as a global aviation powerhouse. As part of this transition, Mr. Lee will not only bid farewell as chief executive but also as a CAG board director and chairman of Changi Airports International (CAI) and Jewel Changi Airport Development. Mr. Yam will be stepping into his shoes, taking the reins as a CAG board director and CAI chairman, starting July 1.
