Severe Turbulence on Singapore Airlines Flight Claims 1 Life, Injures 30

In a rare and tragic incident, severe turbulence on a Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore resulted in one fatality and injuries to 30 passengers. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300 ER with 211 passengers and 18 crew members, was diverted to Bangkok, where it made an emergency landing.

The turbulence occurred on flight SQ321, which departed from Heathrow Airport on Monday. Singapore Airlines confirmed the incident, expressing condolences to the family of the deceased and stating their commitment to assisting all affected passengers and crew. The plane landed safely in Bangkok at 3:45 PM local time on Tuesday.

Singapore Airlines is working closely with local Thai authorities to provide necessary medical assistance and has dispatched a team to Bangkok to offer additional support. The airline emphasized that their priority is the well-being of everyone on board.
