Maharashtra’s caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was rushed to Jupiter Hospital in Thane on Tuesday after his health showed no signs of improvement. Sources have confirmed that doctors have advised a thorough examination to determine the cause of his persistent health issues. This comes at a critical time as Maharashtra prepares for key political meetings concerning the formation of the new government.

Shinde, who had returned from Daregaon recently, initially took rest at his residence in Thane. Despite two days of rest, his health remained concerning, prompting medical teams to visit his home for further testing. The tests, which included screenings for dengue and malaria, came back negative. However, the CM continued to experience recurrent fever, which doctors linked to a rise in his white blood cell count.

To ensure a more detailed medical evaluation, Shinde was taken to Jupiter Hospital on Tuesday for further tests. His hospitalization has raised concerns given the timing of his medical condition, with the Mahayuti meeting scheduled to take place soon. This meeting is crucial for deciding the leadership structure within the alliance and selecting the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

As the BJP finalizes its leadership choices for the upcoming government, the health of key leaders like Shinde is being closely monitored. The situation is particularly delicate as Eknath Shinde’s faction of the Shiv Sena is expected to play a significant role in the government formation. The results of Shinde’s medical tests and his recovery will likely influence the timing and outcome of the critical meetings in the coming days.

Political observers are keenly watching how the health issue of CM Shinde will impact the leadership discussions, as the BJP moves forward with its plans for governance in Maharashtra.
