In an exclusive interaction with Marksmen Daily, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Maharashtra’s Forest Minister, and BJP candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, likened his approach to exam preparation, stating, “I am like a student who prepares for exams throughout the year, not just after the schedule is announced.”
With the Lok Sabha elections looming, political activity is intensifying as parties gear up for campaigning and strategizing. The elections are expected to be closely contested, focusing on issues like economic development and social welfare.
While the seat-sharing agreement between the Mahan Vikas Aghadi and the Grand Alliance is pending, the BJP has already started campaigning in 23 constituencies in Maharashtra after announcing its candidates. The Congress has also declared candidates for 12 Lok Sabha seats and begun campaigning.
The BJP’s candidate list includes new faces this time, such as Sudhir Mungantiwar, who is contesting from the Chandrapur Lok Sabha seat, despite previously showing no interest in the elections.
Chandrapur will witness a direct contest between Sudhir Mungantiwar of the BJP and Pratibha Dhanorkar of the Congress. The Congress, having won the seat in the last elections, nominated Pratibha Dhanorkar following the demise of her husband, Suresh Dhanokar. Her candidature was finalised after a visit to Delhi, where other potential candidates were also considered.
