At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, L. Murugan, made a notable appearance as the head of the Indian delegation. Demonstrating his pride in Indian culture, he adorned a Veshti (traditional Indian attire) along with the Indian flag.
“The embroidery on the shirt has been done by my local tailor. It makes me immensely proud to wear the tricolour on my chest,” he was quoted as saying by ANI.
