Waaree Energies shares rise 4.7% after Chikhli facility gets NABL approval

Waaree Energies shares climbed 4.7% on Friday, achieving an intraday high of ₹2,974.9 per share. The surge came after its PV Module Test Lab (PMTL) at the Chikhli manufacturing facility in Gujarat was granted NABL accreditation.

The NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) accreditation, awarded by the Government of India, signifies a laboratory’s compliance with international standards for quality and technical competence.

By the close of the trading session, Waaree Energies’ stock rose 2.07% to ₹2,897.95 per share, while the BSE Sensex slipped 0.05% to 81,721.14. The company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹83,253.23 crore. Over the last year, the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹3,740.75 and a 52-week low of ₹2,294.55.

Situated within Waaree’s advanced module manufacturing unit in Chikhli, this NABL accreditation reinforces the company’s dedication to innovation, quality, and sustainability. The PMTL carries out more than 48 critical tests, including thermal cycling, damp heat, mechanical load, and potential-induced degradation, to ensure PV modules meet stringent durability, performance, and safety requirements.

Waaree Energies is a key player in India’s solar energy sector, manufacturing high-efficiency solar panels, inverters, and batteries. A part of the Waaree Group, the company operates one of India’s largest solar panel manufacturing facilities, with a 2 GW production capacity. It provides complete solar solutions, from design and engineering to procurement and maintenance of solar power plants has successfully executed multiple large-scale projects across India.

The company exports to over 80 countries, with a strong presence in the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Focused on sustainability, Waaree supports India’s renewable energy goals and contributes to the global shift toward clean energy.
