If you had a billion dollars, what would you do with it?
Maybe you’d wear a crazy looking outfit and beat up criminals with your fists and gadgets at night.
Maybe you’d buy the world’s digital Town Square for $44 billion, and then tank its value by 80%.
Maybe you’d throw an obscenely lavish wedding party that angers the locals in a place far, far from home.
But if you’re Mark Zuckerberg, you do things a bit different, and commission a one-of-a-kind Porsche Cayenne minivan. Built off a Cayenne Turbo GT for his wife, Priscilla Chan, the car (while hideous to look at), is truly a one of one. We hope.
From the custom paintwork to the meticulously crafted interior, every aspect of the Zuckerberg Cayenne Frankenstein has been imbued with a level of attention to detail that is rarely seen in the automotive world, but easily within reach when money is no object. Complete with sliding doors and blacked out windows (which is understandable, because I wouldn’t want to be seen in it either), this truly is a unique vehicle. Onlookers are sure to be left wondering whose riding in it when it comes lumbering down the street.
One good turn deserves another, and Zuck probably figured that while he was at it, he might as well pick up a GT3 for himself, with a manual no less! Known in car enthusiast circles as pretty much one of the holy grails of motoring, the high-performance sports car is sure to leave Zuck smiling from ear to ear. What with its atmospheric flat six and race-inspired heritage, one can only imagine the bliss behind the wheel.
Nonetheless, credit where credit’s due. Commissioning a truly unique minivan and high-performance sports car is as close as it gets to having a two-car garage, although Zuck probably went past that number wayyyy before. After all, what’s a couple of dozen cars stacked in the garage when you’ve got billions in the bank.
Regardless, whether he’s pushing the boundaries of family-friendly performance or indulging in the thrill of the open road, the Facebook founder’s automotive escapades are sure to continue capturing the imagination of car enthusiasts and the general public alike.
