Textile Secretary Neelam Shami Rao Unveils AI-Powered App for Business Networking, Venue Navigation and Real-Time Event Access
New Delhi, May 20: Neelam Shami Rao Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, on Tuesday launched the official Bharat Tex 2026 Mobile App, a unified digital platform aimed at improving the experience of buyers, exhibitors, international delegates, speakers and visitors participating in Bharat Tex 2026.
The mobile application has been developed as a comprehensive digital companion for Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textile exhibition, which will be held from July 14 to July 17, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
According to the Ministry of Textiles, the Bharat Tex 2026 App reflects the event’s digital-first approach and is expected to strengthen business matchmaking, improve attendee engagement and support seamless event participation through advanced digital tools.
The app will provide registered participants with access to exhibitor information, venue navigation, meeting scheduling, knowledge sessions, live event updates and lead management through a single mobile interface.
Officials said the platform has been specially designed to offer customised access and engagement features for exhibitors, speakers, overseas buyers, international delegates, sourcing consultants, domestic volume buyers and general visitors attending the event.
One of the major highlights of the application is its AI Smart Assistant, which will function as a round-the-clock conversational support system for attendees. The AI-powered feature will allow users to ask event-related queries in simple language and instantly receive information related to venue details, schedules, directions and other important event updates.
The app will also facilitate structured business networking through dedicated meeting and interaction modules. Exhibitors, buyers and delegates will be able to identify potential business partners, send meeting requests, manage schedules and track confirmed meetings during the exhibition.
In addition, the application includes a Lead Wallet and QR-based lead capture feature, enabling exhibitors and participants to scan digital badges and securely store contact information for future business follow-up and networking.
To assist visitors across the large exhibition venue, the app will provide advanced navigation and wayfinding support throughout Bharat Mandapam. Users will be able to access floor maps, search booths, locate companies and receive stall-level directions within the venue premises.
The exhibitor discovery module will help global buyers and trade visitors search participating companies by product category, exhibitor type and company name, enabling focused sourcing and efficient business interactions across the textile value chain.
Participants will also be able to access live event agendas and conference schedules through the app. Users can create personalised schedules, receive alerts for sessions and participate more effectively in policy discussions, industry dialogues and knowledge-sharing events organised during Bharat Tex 2026.
Bharat Tex 2026 is being organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation, a consortium of 11 textile Export Promotion Councils and industry bodies, with the support of the Ministry of Textiles.
Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘5F Vision’ Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign the event aims to position India as a sustainable, innovation driven and globally reliable textile sourcing and investment destination.
Officials said Bharat Tex 2026 is expected to attract over 7,000 international buyers and more than 1.3 lakh trade visitors from across the global textile ecosystem. The exhibition will showcase India’s complete textile value chain, including fibres, yarns, fabrics, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles, handlooms, handicrafts, sustainable textiles and intelligent manufacturing technologies.
