Meet the organisations spearheading a new era of work

A transformative shift has swept through the BFSI sector in India, prompting a profound realisation that prioritises the well-being of those at the forefront or otherwise, superseding the traditional emphasis on the bottom line. The notion of delivering value has undergone a revitalised interpretation, presenting leaders in the BFSI sector with the chance to forge a novel paradigm that caters to the betterment of employees, families, communities, and society at large. This shift reflects a departure from conventional practices, paving the way for a more holistic approach to business in the BFSI sector in India.

And the need to do so is a pressing one. According to Deloitte’s second Well-Being at Work Survey, progress has been scant on embedding wellbeing in the workplace. Less than two-thirds of workers say their physical and mental well-being are “excellent” or “good” (63% and 58%, respectively), and an even lower percentage rate their social (45%) and financial (35%) well-being positively. Contrast that with C-Suite, which holds a skewed perspective; more than three out of four executives inaccurately believe that their workforce’s well-being improved since last year. This is the gap to be bridged, and it is not one that is a stretch too far.

While leaders and organisations will always prioritise immediacy of results and impact, but it is still crucial to take a more long-term perspective if the full potential and well-being of the workforce is to be unlocked. A select cross-section of organisations typify this new-age approach to unlocking value by taking a kinder, gentler, more empathetic approach to growth, and in the process will be recognised as having created a Most Preferred Workplace 2023-24 in the BFSI sector.

These trailblazers of the industry will be lauded for their achievements in a one-of-a-kind industry initiative driven by research and brought to you by Team Marksmen. These are the organisations that have understood just how well-being in the workplace is a critical a determinant to long-term success. By embracing this philosophy to the fullest, they have helped their employees live fuller, happier, healthier lives, while ensuring they have a deeper connection with and commitment to the overarching organisational purpose.

This forum is set to host a range of insightful discussions led by seasoned industry leaders and experts, covering various industry-related subjects. Topics will encompass talent acquisition in the evolving BFSI landscape and strategies for elevating the employee experience to cultivate a performance-driven workforce.

Speaking ahead of the event, Rajesh Khubchandani, Co-founder and CEO, Team Marksmen Network, said, “Employee well-being isn’t just a compassionate pursuit, but a strategic lever for success. By fostering a workplace culture that prioritises holistic well-being — physical, mental, and emotional — we fortify our team to perform at their peak. This isn’t merely a differentiator; it’s a linchpin of growth. A healthy workforce cultivates resilience, innovation, and sustained productivity. In today’s dynamic market, where success hinges on talent retention and customer trust, a commitment to embedding well-being is pivotal, and the path-breaking organisations recognised as a Most Preferred Workplace have demonstrated that crafting an environment that breeds success, resilience, and enduring growth can benefit not just the frontline, but the bottom-line as well.”
