Xpressbees Takes Up D2C Delivery Business Post Shiprocket’s Pickrr Deal

Bengaluru: Days after Shiprocket acquired Pickrr with the intention of bolstering its direct commerce business, one of the biggest third-party logistics companies, Xpressbees, will now open up over 50 of its warehouses to support direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands.

The most recent action by Xpressbees comes at a time when delivery companies and logistics aggregators are experiencing strained relationships that have resulted in a large price increase for aggregators, as first reported by ET.

D2C brands and significant offline brands that are embracing online shopping will be able to take advantage of same-day and next-day deliveries, according to Xpressbees. Given that consumers are accustomed to receiving their orders in one to two days thanks to marketplaces like Flipkart or Amazon India, faster delivery is a top priority for D2C firms. Up until this point, the majority of Xpressbees’ clients were big brands and e-commerce sites. With D2C brands, it didn’t really work.

In a statement, Xpressbees stated that it offers same-day regional delivery service in 1,000 towns and cities covering 8,200 pin codes in 51 cities, as well as same-day local delivery service in 51 cities covering more than 1,600 pin codes.

Delhivery also said last week that it would offer guaranteed same-day delivery in 15 locations, allowing direct-to-consumer (D2C) firms to fulfil orders placed through their websites the same day they are placed. According to Xpressbees, its D2C-focused product will let businesses ship orders from their own websites, marketplaces, and any business-to-business (B2B) orders they get through their offline distributors or franchisees.

Amitava Saha, founder of Xpressbees, claimed that this was a logical expansion of their current capabilities into fresh areas. With a monthly throughput of millions of orders, our platform is reliable and time-tested. We think that this will present chances for emerging D2C firms aiming to increase their consumer base as well as for established brands wishing to increase their online presence. The platform will enable them to considerably speed up delivery while containing expenses.
