Nagpur: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the eastern part of Nagpur has witnessed rapid development in educational infrastructure and highlighted the ongoing construction of a waste-to-CNG plant as another major step towards sustainable urban growth.
Praising Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (MahaRail), the Chief Minister said the corporation is executing large-scale infrastructure projects efficiently and completing them at an impressive pace. He added that the Nagpur Metro Project has significantly enhanced the city’s national as well as international stature.
MLA Krishna Khopde briefed the gathering on various development works undertaken in the constituency, while MahaRail General Manager Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal presented an overview of the corporation’s ongoing infrastructure projects across Maharashtra.
Jaiswal informed that the newly inaugurated projects include three Road Over Bridges (ROBs), four Subways, and one Road Under Bridge (RUB) across the districts of Amravati, Satara, Nashik, Sangli, Nagpur, and Chandrapur.
The infrastructure projects have been completed at a total cost of ₹484 crore. Two projects in Nagpur were executed under the Central Road Infrastructure Programme, while the remaining seven were completed under the 50:50 cost-sharing model between the Ministry of Railways and the Government of Maharashtra.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Jitendra Kumar Sharma.
