In a strategic move to strengthen its footprint in one of Asia Pacific’s fastest-growing luxury car markets, Automobile Lamborghini has officially appointed Nidhi Kaistha as the new Head of India Operations. Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment, as India continues to witness a surge in luxury automobile sales, despite broader macroeconomic challenges.
Kaistha steps into her new role with a wealth of experience spanning more than 25 years across diverse industries, including hospitality, aviation, and the automotive sector. She joins Lamborghini from Porsche India, where she served as Regional Sales & Pre-Owned Cars Manager, earning recognition for her role in significantly boosting sales and enhancing customer engagement.
Driving Growth and Customer Engagement
As Head of Lamborghini India, Kaistha will oversee the brand’s sales, marketing, and after-sales operations across the country. India currently ranks as the sixth-largest market for Lamborghini in the Asia Pacific region, with the brand identifying the country as a key territory for future expansion and deeper customer engagement.
“India continues to be a market with immense growth potential for Lamborghini,” said Francesco Scardaoni, Region Director of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific. “Kaistha brings a wealth of experience in the automotive industry, and we are confident that her strategic vision will drive further growth in India.”
The brand currently operates through three key dealerships in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru, catering to an expanding clientele of luxury car enthusiasts and high-net-worth individuals. Lamborghini has expressed interest in expanding its dealership network to further strengthen its presence and enhance customer access.
Kaistha’s extensive journey through the automotive world includes a 15-year tenure at BMW India, where she held several leadership roles—from Manager of Direct and Diplomatic Sales to General Manager of Corporate and Special Sales. Her stint also included overseeing business strategy and sales for BMW’s high-performance M and Z series.
Her early career saw her excel in service-centric roles, beginning as cabin crew with Jet Airways in 1997, followed by a stint at Gulf Air. She later transitioned into hospitality, working in sales for Hyatt Hotels and Shangri-La Hotels before moving into the automotive sector.
Kaistha is an alumna of the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad, and is known for her customer-first approach, data-driven strategies, and dynamic leadership style.
As Lamborghini looks to introduce hybrid and electric supercars in the coming years, Kaistha’s deep understanding of both customer behavior and industry dynamics will be essential in navigating regulatory environments, evolving preferences, and competitive pressures in the luxury auto space.
Her proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering growth positions her well to usher Lamborghini India into a new era of innovation, customer excellence, and market expansion.
