The most awaited Oscar Nominations 2025 are now declared, and everyone is wondering who will be taking the Oscars home for the remarkable work they have showcased in reaching the hearts of the people. With an array of outstanding movies to sift through, the Academy has its work cut out to select the winners from across categories. The Oscar nominations have excited us too and our predictions for the winners from the different categories are below.
Best Picture – The Substance
There are in total 10 nominations in the best picture category, with 5 nominations in each of the other categories. While all of the nominations deserve to win this writers pick would be The Substance. The entire movie is thrilling and eye-catching, a complete nail-biter that sees the plot take viewers on a rollercoaster rider throughout the movie.
Best Actor and Actress – Adrien Brody and Demi Moore
Adrien Brody’s outstanding performance in The Brutalist, and Demi Moore’s earth-shattering performance in The Substance are sure to earn a lot of Oscar love. The variations and the way they played their given characters in the movie are something everyone loved.
Best Supporting Actor and Actress – Jeremy Strong and Zoe Saldaña
If in a movie the main leads are important the supporting actors are equally important, similarly according to me we have got 2 amazing talents who have done fantabulous acting. They are none other than, Jeremy Strong, The Apprentice, and Zoe Saldaña, Emilia Pérez for their amazing performances.
Wildcard pick – Wicked
The other categories will be a difficult choice for the Jury, as the nominations are closely matched. However, this writer has a soft corner for Wicked, and would be not at all surprised (and more than a little happy) to see them pick up the coveted trophy in multiple categories.
The Oscar Awards will be telecast on 3rd March between 5:30 AM and 8:30 am IST, on Disney+ HotStar. Every nomination that has been given a chance to enter the Oscars has done superbly to make it this far, and we wish all the nominees much luck.
