In a new twist to the Saif Ali Khan attack case, Mumbai Police have raised suspicions that the intruder who stabbed the actor in his Bandra apartment may have conducted a reconnaissance of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic residence, “Mannat,” earlier this week. Following the attack on Saif, a police team visited Shah Rukh Khan’s home to probe this potential connection.
Meanwhile, the suspect responsible for stabbing Saif Ali Khan was spotted near the Bandra railway station after the incident. Authorities believe the assailant may have taken an early local train, and police have intensified their efforts by deploying teams to search in the Vasai and Nallasopara areas.
In a significant development, one suspect has been arrested in connection with the attack on Saif Ali Khan. The actor was brutally stabbed by the intruder early Thursday morning in his high-rise apartment. Despite sustaining six stab wounds, including one to his neck, Khan survived after undergoing emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital. The attacker had approached the actor’s residence around 2:30 a.m. near his son Jeh’s room.
At the time of the attack, Khan, his wife Kareena Kapoor, and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, were at home, along with five house staff members. The incident was first witnessed by Jeh’s nanny, Eliyama Philip, who reported that the assailant demanded ₹1 crore from them. Police believe the attacker did not break into the flat but possibly entered during the night with the intent to rob. After the attack, the assailant fled via the building’s stairs.
CCTV footage captured the suspect, wearing a red scarf and carrying a backpack, hastily descending the stairs from the sixth floor of the building. To investigate the case, at least 35 police teams have been formed to track down the attacker.
