Elon Musk’s X has evolved beyond being solely a social media platform. It is expanding its functionality to include audio and video call capabilities, offering users a novel means of communication. Currently, this feature is exclusively accessible to X Premium (Twitter Blue) users on iOS devices, but there are intentions to roll it out to Android users in the near future.
Free X users can use this feature with some guidelines. You can manage your call permissions by adjusting your Direct Messaging settings. By default, calls are allowed from those you follow or have in your address book, but there’s a requirement: to initiate a call, both you and the recipient must have exchanged at least one Direct Message.
With the inclusion of audio and video calls, users can connect and communicate in new and engaging ways, regardless of the device they’re using.
