Threads is introducing a feature that enables users to opt out of showcasing their posts on Instagram and Facebook, as reported by The Verge. The availability of this option is gradually extending to numerous users worldwide subsequent to the social media platform, owned by Meta, announcing the testing of this opt-out feature last month.
The feature was intended to drive engagement on Threads but has faced criticism from users as Threads posts kept popping up on other users’ Instagram and Facebook feeds.
Meta also announced that the company would soon allow users to delete their Threads account without having to delete their Instagram account.
