Skoda has officially launched the second-generation Kodiaq in India, marking a significant step forward for the Czech automaker’s flagship SUV. The new model, locally assembled at Skoda’s Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar facility, arrives with a sophisticated evolutionary design, enhanced performance, and a technology-rich interior that is typically Skoda.
The 2025 Kodiaq is available in two distinct trim levels: the sporty Sportline variant priced at Rs 46.89 lakh and the more luxurious Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim at Rs 48.69 lakh (both ex-showroom). With bookings now open, customers can expect deliveries to commence from May 2.

Evolutionary Design with Modern Sophistication
The second-generation Kodiaq embraces a more rounded aesthetic while maintaining the recognizable presence of its predecessor. The SUV retains its split headlamp arrangement but introduces new LED daytime running lamp signatures that extend into the grille, creating a distinctive front fascia. Functional air vents on the bumper edges and power bulges on the hood enhance both form and function.
While the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2,791mm, the new Kodiaq stretches 59mm longer than its predecessor, measuring 4,758mm overall. The profile showcases aero-optimized 18-inch alloy wheels on the L&K variant and a contrasting finish for the D-pillar. At the rear, newly designed C-shaped LED tail lamps connected by a light band create a modern, cohesive appearance.
The Sportline trim distinguishes itself with a sportier aesthetic, featuring blacked-out elements including the grille, wing mirrors, D-pillar garnish, and rear bumper, complemented by uniquely designed 18-inch alloy wheels.
Completely Reimagined Interior
Inside, the Kodiaq undergoes a comprehensive transformation with a new winged dashboard design centered around a floating 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Notably, Skoda has retained physical controls for key functions, with three dedicated dials for HVAC operation. A 10-inch digital driver’s display with navigation feed further enhances the tech-forward cabin.
The L&K variant features a two-spoke steering wheel with ‘Skoda’ lettering and Cognac leather upholstery, while the Sportline opts for a sportier three-spoke wheel and black Suedia upholstery. Second-row seats offer sliding and reclining functionality for enhanced comfort and versatility.
The three-row configuration provides impressive cargo capacity: 281 liters with all seats up, expanding to 786 liters with the third row folded, and a cavernous 1,976 liters with both rear rows down.
Feature-Rich Experience
The new Kodiaq comes generously equipped with premium features including configurable ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a powerful 13-speaker Canton sound system (725W), and three-zone climate control. Front passengers enjoy power-adjustable seats with memory function, with the L&K trim adding heating, ventilation, and massage capabilities. The Sportline variant offers heated sports seats.
Convenience features include an electric tailgate with gesture control, while safety is addressed through nine airbags, ESC, front and rear parking sensors, and driver assistance technologies like attention and drowsiness monitoring.
Enhanced Performance
Under the hood, the Kodiaq continues with a 2.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine, now producing 204hp (a 14hp increase) and 320Nm of torque. The powerplant pairs with a seven-speed DCT gearbox delivering power to all four wheels via standard all-wheel drive across both trims. Despite the performance upgrade, efficiency remains impressive with an ARAI-rated fuel economy of 14.86 kpl.
The Laurin & Klement trim further enhances the driving experience with a drive mode selector, hill start assist with descent control, a 360-degree camera, and pre-crash protection system.
Ownership Experience
Skoda is backing the new Kodiaq with a comprehensive ownership package including a standard 5-year/125,000 km warranty, 10-year complimentary roadside assistance, and a first-year complimentary standard maintenance package, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
With its blend of sophisticated design, advanced technology, versatile space, and enhanced performance, the second-generation Skoda Kodiaq is well-positioned to strengthen its presence in India’s premium SUV segment.
