Swiggy Launches Unique Service 'Swiggy Pawlice' to Locate Lost Pets

Food delivery giant, Swiggy, has recently unveiled an innovative feature, Swiggy Pawlice. This unique service is designed to assist pet owners in finding their lost pets, leveraging the extensive network of Swiggy’s delivery partners.

Swiggy Pawlice was launched in collaboration with noteworthy personalities like Shantanu Naidu, General Manager, Tata Trusts, House of the Chairman, and fellow pet parents. This initiative aims at combining Swiggy’s extensive delivery network with advanced technology to help distressed pet owners locate their beloved pets.

How Swiggy Pawlice Works

Swiggy has made it user-friendly for pet owners to report their missing pets using the Swiggy app. They can provide necessary information, including photos and unique identifiable features of their pets.

Swiggy’s vast network of over 3,50,000 delivery partners then becomes the eyes on the ground. As these delivery partners traverse the city for their deliveries, they can spot any pets that match the details provided in the missing pet reports. These partners can then inform a dedicated team at Swiggy about the spotted pet without having to directly interact with the animal.

Once the delivery partners spot a missing pet and inform the Swiggy team, the gears of the Swiggy Pawlice machinery move swiftly. The team contacts the pet owner promptly, providing them with the location details of the spotted pet. This facilitates a quick and happy reunion.

Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy, spoke about the value of this feature. Being a pet parent himself, he understands the distress faced when pets go missing. “Swiggy Pawlice stands ready to be a dependable resource to assist them,” said Kapoor.

Shantanu Naidu, General Manager, Tata Trusts, House of the Chairman, praised Swiggy’s initiative, highlighting the importance of corporate empathy and participation in animal welfare. “We want the services we rely on daily to demonstrate empathy and mindfulness towards the world around us,” says Naidu.

By integrating technology and community efforts, Swiggy Pawlice could potentially revolutionize the way we locate lost pets. It’s an exciting development and, no doubt, pet parents across the country will be eagerly watching its progress.
