Recent revelations from police sources indicate that one of the individuals captured on CCTV footage firing shots outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence is a wanted gangster from Gurugram, Haryana. Identified as Vishal Rahul, the gangster is reportedly associated with Rohit Godara, a known affiliate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Following the gunfire outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments, Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, took to social media to claim responsibility for the incident, describing it as a mere “trailer.”
Vishal, who completed his education up to Class 10, has been implicated in multiple crimes, including killings and robberies in Haryana, with several criminal cases registered against him in Gurugram and Delhi. The Gurugram-based gangster was allegedly involved in the murder of a bookie in Rohtak under Lawrence Bishnoi’s orders. Sources also suggest Vishal’s involvement in a murder at a roadside restaurant in Rohtak on February 29.
The assailants, riding a motorcycle, fired four rounds outside Salman Khan’s house around 4:51 am, prompting heightened security measures. Despite the gunfire, Salman Khan and his family escaped unharmed.
This incident follows previous threats from Lawrence Bishnoi and wanted gangster Goldie Brar against Salman Khan. The actor had received online threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang last year, leading to increased security at his residence. The motorcycle used in the attack, suspected to be stolen, was registered in Panvel, near Mumbai. Police believe the assailants abandoned the bike near Mount Mary Church before leaving Mumbai via public transportation.
In response to the incident at Salman Khan’s house, the Delhi Police Special Cell conducted a search at Vishal’s residence in Gurugram. Multiple teams from the Delhi Police, Crime Branch, Special Cell, and the Haryana Police are now investigating the matter. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with authorities examining all potential suspects, including the Bishnoi gang, to determine the motive. Security measures for Salman Khan have been further strengthened, with assurances from the Maharashtra Chief Minister regarding his safety.
