The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has proudly announced that its flagship brand, Taj, has once again been recognized as the “World’s Strongest Hotel Brand” by Brand Finance, the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy. According to Brand Finance’s “Hotel 50 2024” report, Taj has not only maintained its esteemed title but also demonstrated remarkable growth in brand value and strength. Taj has surpassed Leela, and Oberoi, but Hilton continues to reign supreme.

Taj’s brand value has surged by 45%, reaching an impressive $545 million. This substantial increase underscores the brand’s escalating influence and market presence globally. Additionally, Taj has emerged as the second-fastest growing hotel brand in the world, further solidifying its position at the forefront of the hospitality industry.

The brand’s success is highlighted by its achievement of an AAA+ rating, attributed to an improved Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 92.9 out of 100. This score is the highest awarded by Brand Finance, reflecting Taj’s excellence across multiple brand strength metrics including familiarity, consideration, recommendation, and reputation.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, expressed his pride in Taj’s continued recognition. “We are delighted that Taj, our iconic brand, has been honored as the World’s Strongest Hotel Brand again. Receiving this recognition for the fourth year, and third time as number one, is a testament to the brand’s century-old legacy of pioneering destinations, setting global benchmarks, and showcasing Indian hospitality to the world”, Chhatwal stated.

The “Hotel 50 2024” annual report by Brand Finance identifies the most valuable and strongest hotel brands globally, and Taj’s performance has been nothing short of exemplary.
