PM Modi’s Dream Bullet Train Corridor Takes Shape in Gujarat

India’s first bullet train corridor, a major initiative under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is making significant progress. The 508-kilometer Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor will feature 12 stations, with eight located in Gujarat (Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Bilimora, and Vapi) and four in Maharashtra (Boisar, Virar, Thane, and Mumbai).

Construction is advancing swiftly, with foundation work for all eight Gujarat stations completed and superstructure work well underway. These stations will offer modern amenities, including ticketing and waiting areas, business-class lounges, nurseries, restrooms, retail centre’s, and integrated transportation hubs for seamless connectivity.

The bullet train project aims to revolutionize travel between Ahmedabad and Mumbai by significantly reducing travel time, enhancing passenger convenience, and promoting economic growth in the regions it connects. This corridor represents a milestone in India’s transportation infrastructure, reflecting the country’s commitment to adopting high-speed rail technology and modernizing its railway system.
