In this exclusive conversation, Alok K. Singh, Chairman and CEO of Travomint, reveals the permanent shifts reshaping the travel industry, emphasizing that modern travelers demand journeys reflecting their values and purpose.
He shares how Travomint is winning in a crowded market by prioritizing seamless, people-focused experiences over technology alone. Singh argues that true success means balancing aggressive growth with long-term customer trust, ensuring every trip is simple and meaningful.
What is the single biggest permanent shift in traveler behavior that guides your current strategy?
The most notable and lasting shift in traveler behaviour that guides our current strategy has been the growing preference for personalized, flexible and authentic travelling. This shift has been witnessed post-Covid, when people became more intentional about how and why they travel. Travelers nowadays want to experience something that reflects their individuality; instead of marking the checklist of standardized itinerary, they prefer journeys that align their lifestyle, values, and sense of purpose.
Another remarkable shift is the rise of value-based choices. Travelers these days are more inclined towards choosing a “value for money” travel plan that’s why they do a lot of research, price comparison and a lot of planning beforehand. At the same time, there is an increasing interest in offbeat and less-travelled destinations, driven by a desire for exploration, local connection and mindful travel experiences.
At Travomint, these trends guide our approach. We are reframing travel with the use of data intelligence, AI, and human insight – crafting flexible, personalised and trustworthy travel solutions that address trendy expectations of travellers. We have a simple objective: to make every trip not only effortless but meaningful and more personalized.

Beyond offering options, how can technology make sustainable and responsible travel affordable for the average traveler?
Sustainable travel has become a practical reality rather than a luxury, and technology has definitely paved the way for this outstanding transformation. The goal is to make responsibility an integral part of travel experience; not as an added expense, but as a smarter, and more efficient way to travel.
Nowadays there are many platforms that use AI and predictive data to help travelers make sustainable choices at a lower cost. For example, selecting routes that minimize carbon footprint and affordable pricing or suggesting accommodation that is eco-certified in lower cost. Same applies to dynamic packaging and smart inventory management, which results in reduction of waste and optimization of resources, reducing overall travel cost.
Another crucial factor is transparency. Through reviews and data tracking, visitors can watch the environmental impact of their choices and opt the best without guessing. When technology enhances visibility, it naturally generates trust among people and organizations; and this trust, once established, ultimately drives meaningful action.
At Travomint, we stand by the idea that sustainability and affordability are no longer opposites. By applying the power of technology to design the best systems and foster impactful relationships, we can create responsible travel—the best, accessible, and even the most affordable choice for today’s travellers.
What is the key to maintaining a high-speed innovation culture while working in the traditionally slower-paced travel sector?
The key lies in maintaining a balance between flexibility and consistency. At Travomint, we are shaping a culture rooted in innovation while fulfilling the customers’ needs. Innovation is not always about disruption; it is about solving real world problems quickly and easily. We encourage small, collaborative teams to explore and search new ideas, use real-time data and stay flexible and forward-moving without losing focus on excellence.
Tech is a crucial factor but so is the perspective, at our organisation we motivate our employees to think like entrepreneurs, which even leads to higher productivity. With the balance of efficiency, adaptability and a thorough knowledge of traveller behaviour, we remain committed to bringing impactful transformation to the established travel industry.
How does seamless customer experience give Travomint a real competitive edge in a crowded global market?
We truly trust that technology alone is not sufficient as real value lies in seamless, people-focused experiences. With our smart booking platforms, AI based suggestions and 24-hour multilingual assistance, each and everything is built with efficiency and confidence. Our combined approach, balancing tech with a human touch ensures that every traveler, be it tech-savvy or novice, feels supported throughout the journey. This stability leads to trust that converts the one-time user into a long-term customer. In an industry which is driven by endless choices, our strength lies in making every journey simple, trustworthy and unforgettable.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned about balancing aggressive growth with long-term customer trust in travel?
The most valuable lesson that we have learned throughout our journey is that growth means little unless a brand earns the trust of its customers. In the travel industry, every booking is built on belief; belief that we will deliver on our promise.
Yes, transformation and innovation is exciting, but we have to keep it balanced with honesty, smooth service, and attentiveness. Rapid growth can attract customers’ attention, but a balanced success comes from understanding customers’ perspective, addressing concerns promptly, and prioritizing them.
At Travomint, we are focused on scaling our brand responsively; assuring that advancement, efficiency and success do not affect consistency, transparency and meaningful connections. When a brand earns its customers’ trust, nothing can stand in the way of its success.
