During the CEO Connection event in Mumbai, Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO of Microsoft, highlighted the pressing need for global dissemination of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ensure balanced economic progress. Nadella commended India’s strides in AI and emphasized the significance of cooperation between India and the United States to establish standards and regulations for AI integration.
Nadella unveiled Microsoft’s commitment to training 2 million individuals in India in AI skills by 2025, recognising India as a key market with ambitious GDP projections, a substantial portion of which will stem from AI contributions.
Drawing attention to the alignment between India and global AI adoption, Nadella highlighted the emergence of unique AI applications in India, fostering innovation. He emphasized AI’s evolution from computer understanding to human understanding, particularly through advancements in natural language processing and multi-model capabilities spanning video, images, and text.
