Samsung’s One UI 7 to Launch in April with Advanced AI Features

Samsung has officially confirmed the release timeline for its much-anticipated One UI 7 update, bringing smarter AI capabilities and new features to eligible Galaxy devices. The rollout will begin in April 2025, marking a significant upgrade to Samsung’s user interface.

Beta Program and Eligible Devices

The One UI 7 beta program will first be available for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 users in India, Korea, the UK, and the US starting March 6. The program will later expand to include more devices, such as the Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series, and A55, within the same month. According to Samsung, this update is designed to offer the most seamless and natural AI-driven mobile experience yet.

Official Rollout Timeline

Samsung will begin rolling out the stable One UI 7 update in phases starting in April 2025. The release schedule includes:

  • Galaxy S24 Series – April 18, 2025
  • Galaxy S23 Series – April 25, 2025
  • Galaxy S22 Series & S23 FE – May 16, 2025
  • Galaxy S21 Series – May 23, 2025

This timeline comes after Samsung introduced AI-powered features for the Galaxy A series, bringing Awesome Intelligence, a comprehensive AI suite designed for creativity and enhanced mobile experiences.

Key Features of One UI 7

One UI 7 is based on Android 15 and introduces a range of AI-enhanced features and design improvements, including:

  • Now Bar – A smarter way to access key apps and functions
  • Revamped Camera Interface – Improved UI for a more intuitive experience
  • Vertical App Drawer – A redesigned way to navigate apps
  • Battery Charging Limit – Enhancing battery longevity
  • Rounded AI Elements – More fluid, user-friendly design
  • Advanced Writing Tools – AI-powered text assistance and handwriting recognition
  • Call Transcription – Supports 20 languages and allows users to access transcriptions of recorded calls

Samsung has confirmed that One UI 7 will feature multimodal AI integration, making interactions more seamless and intuitive across its ecosystem.

Why the Delay?

Unlike previous years, where Samsung released its One UI update within a month of Google’s Android rollout, One UI 7 has taken longer. The Galaxy S24 series has already undergone four beta updates, suggesting Samsung is prioritizing optimization before the full release. This extra time is expected to refine AI capabilities and enhance the overall user experience.

Expanding AI Features to More Devices

Samsung’s focus on AI extends beyond flagship devices. With the Galaxy A and S25 series already benefiting from Android 15, the company is gradually ensuring more users experience Galaxy’s intelligent AI ecosystem. The company aims to make AI accessible to a wider audience, emphasizing innovation across all price segments.

With the stable One UI 7 release scheduled for April, Samsung users can soon experience a more intelligent and personalized mobile experience. Stay tuned for further updates as the rollout progresses!
