Tata AIA Life Insurance Company Limited announced the appointment of Venkatachalam H as the incoming Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD), pending regulatory approval from the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India (IRDAI). Venkatachalam H is set to succeed the current CEO and MD, Naveen Tahilyani, who is transitioning to a new role within the Tata Group and has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Tata AIA Life Insurance Company, according to an official release by the insurer.
With a rich experience of over 27 years in life insurance, asset management, and custodial services, Venkatachalam joined Tata AIA in 2016, previously serving as President and Chief Distribution Officer. He has played a pivotal role in leading various initiatives, including those in marketing, strategy, analytics, and direct digital business.
Tata AIA Life Insurance Company stands as a joint venture formed by Tata Sons and AIA Group.
