The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has named Kevin Vaz, the CEO of Broadcast Entertainment at Viacom18, as the Chairman of the FICCI Media & Entertainment Committee.
With nearly three decades of experience in the media and entertainment sector, Vaz assumed the role of CEO of Broadcast Entertainment at Viacom18 in July 2023. In his current capacity, he oversees Viacom18’s broadcast business, film studio, merchandising division, live entertainment, and regional entertainment on the company’s digital (OTT) platform.
For the past 25 years, the FICCI Media and Entertainment Committee have been at the forefront of significant policy changes, working towards stimulating growth, advocating for favorable policies, and promoting the overall development of the sector and its associated ecosystems.
Previously chaired by industry luminaries such as Yash Chopra, Karan Johar, Uday Shankar, Sanjay Gupta, and Jyoti Deshpande, the committee includes promoters and CEOs from various verticals, including TV and Radio Broadcast, film production and exhibition, print, animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, AR/VR/MR (AVGC-XR), digital entertainment events, and OOH, among others.
Kevin, along with the Media and Entertainment Committee, will actively engage with the industry at FICCI FRAMES 2024, scheduled from 5-7 March 2024 in Mumbai.
