The Canadian singer landed at the Mumbai airport’s private terminal, where he was seen in casual attire, a loose-fitted T-shirt and a bucket hat, before quickly entering a waiting car.
Bieber’s appearance adds to the impressive lineup of international artists who have graced the festivities. Earlier, Rihanna performed at a pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and Katy Perry delivered a show-stopping performance on a pre-wedding cruise that toured Italy and the South of France. The Backstreet Boys also entertained guests with their nostalgic hits during the cruise.
Bieber, whose setlist for the sangeet includes up-tempo hits like “Peaches” and “Baby,” as well as romantic ballads like “Love Yourself,” has prepared an indoor setup for a soundcheck ahead of his performance at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC). This marks Bieber’s second visit to India, following a mixed reception in 2017 when fans were disappointed by his lip-syncing. He had planned to return in 2022 but had to cancel due to health issues.
Reports suggest that other international music icons, including Adele, Drake, and Lana Del Rey, might also perform at the lavish sangeet ceremony, adding further excitement to the event. The wedding is poised to be a grand affair, with a guest list featuring global elites such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Fink, Stephen Schwarzman, Bob Iger, and Ivanka Trump.
