Coldplay Announces Additional India Show in Ahmedabad for January 2025

British pop-rock band Coldplay has added an extra India show to their tour, scheduled for January 25, 2025, at Gujarat’s Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This concert will take place shortly after their three back-to-back performances in Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21. The Ahmedabad tickets are set to go on sale on November 16, starting at 12 pm on BookMyShow.

Coldplay shared the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) on November 13, saying, “2025 AHMEDABAD DATE ANNOUNCED. The band will play their biggest ever show, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 25 January 2025. Tickets on sale Saturday, 16 November at 12 pm.” This upcoming visit marks the band’s first return to India since their 2016 performance at Mumbai’s Global Citizen Festival.

Similar to the Mumbai ticketing process, fans will navigate a virtual queue to book their tickets. The booking system will involve an Automated Queue Randomisation System that assigns each user a queue position when sales go live, aiming to provide an organized and fair process for eager fans.

The concert will showcase Coldplay’s iconic songs, promising fans a memorable setlist with timeless anthems such as Yellow, The Scientist, Clocks, Fix You, Viva La Vida, Paradise, A Sky Full of Stars, and Adventure of a Lifetime. The band, featuring lead vocalist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion, has cultivated a strong following in India, which continues to grow.

Ticket prices for the Ahmedabad show are expected to align with the Mumbai concert rates, ranging from ₹2,500 for general admission to ₹35,000 for VIP lounge access. However, amid high demand, the resale of Coldplay concert tickets has drawn controversy. Following reports of tickets appearing on unauthorized platforms at inflated prices, India’s Enforcement Directorate launched an investigation into the alleged illegal resale of tickets for recent Coldplay and Diljit Dosanjh concerts.
