PM Modi to Launch 60 Mega Projects Worth Rs 1 Lakh Crore in Uttar Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to kickstart 60 mega projects in Uttar Pradesh, with an estimated investment of Rs 1 lakh crore, set to generate nearly 81,424 jobs. This event will mark the fourth ground-breaking ceremony in the state.

The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government is preparing to unveil contracts worth Rs 10 lakh crore for 14,000 projects in the Ground Breaking Ceremony 4 (GBC-4). The official announcement and signing of these agreements are scheduled for February 19, in the presence of PM Modi. The GBC will be held from February 19 to 21.

GBC will accelerate the Industrial development

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasised the importance of the GBC on February 19 as a means to accelerate industrial development. He called for all necessary arrangements to be made for the event to ensure its success.

These projects aim to revolutionize the technological landscape of the state, ushering in an industrial revolution in Uttar Pradesh’s tech sector, and propelling it to new economic heights, as per a statement from the Department of IT and ITeS.

All 75 districts of UP are expected to benefit from the GBC. A breakdown of the list of projects for the groundbreaking ceremony shows that 262 projects exceed investments of ₹500 crore, while 889 projects range from ₹100 to ₹500 crore. More than 3,500 investors are expected to attend the GBC 4.

The statement also highlighted the Noida Data Center Park being developed by NIDP Developers Private Limited as one of the major investments. This project involves an investment of Rs 30,000 crore on 20 acres of land in the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and is expected to employ 2,160 individuals.

In addition to projects in western Uttar Pradesh, particularly in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Mathura, Agra, and YEIDA, several projects are also set to be launched in Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Basti, and Barabanki.
