The Lost Homeland of Sindh Marks Second Anniversary with ‘Gulshan-E-Armaan: Shah Inayat Ki Ajab Dastaan’

The Sindhi Culture Foundation and The Partition Museum, Delhi, with the support of Embassy Group, commemorate the second anniversary of the gallery with an evening of storytelling, music, art and Sufi traditions
Mumbai, 3 October 2026: The Sindhi Culture Foundation and The Partition Museum, Delhi, with the support of Embassy Group, marked the second anniversary of The Lost Homeland of Sindh with Gulshan-E-Armaan: Shah Inayat Ki Ajab Dastaan, an intimate evening celebrating the cultural and Sufi traditions of Sindh. Presented by The Kabir Project, the programme was held at The Partition Museum and Cultural Hub, Delhi, on Saturday, 3 October 2026.
At the heart of the evening was Gulshan-E-Armaan: Shah Inayat Ki Ajab Dastaan, an immersive presentation exploring the story of Shah Inayat, an 18th-century Sufi saint from Sindh, through storytelling, music, art, light, image and sound.
The evening also featured Sufi songs by Shreeparna Mitra, guided tours of The Lost Homeland of Sindh gallery and Taste of Sindh, offering guests an opportunity to experience elements of Sindhi culinary heritage.
The programme was attended by Dr. Ravi Prakash Tekchandani, Professor of Sindhi Language and Literature, Department of Modern Indian languages and Literary Studies, Department of MIL & LS, Arts Faculty, University of Delhi and Ms. Veena Shringi, a renowned Sindhi poet, writer, broadcaster, and social worker based in Delhi, India along with members of the Sindhi community, artists, cultural practitioners, scholars, heritage enthusiasts and other guests.
Celebrating Sindh Through Storytelling, Music and Memory
Through Gulshan-E-Armaan, The Kabir Project brought together multiple artistic forms to tell the story of Shah Inayat. The interplay of storytelling, allegory, music, art, light, image and sound created an immersive experience that connected audiences with Sindh’s Sufi traditions and cultural history.
The programme formed part of the second-anniversary commemoration of The Lost Homeland of Sindh, a gallery dedicated to bringing together stories, memories and cultural traditions associated with Sindh and its people.
Commenting on the occasion, Aruna Madnani, Founder, Managing Trustee, Sindhi Culture Foundation and Gallery Curator, said, “The Lost Homeland of Sindh was created to give Sindhi stories, memories and cultural traditions a space where they can be experienced and shared across generations. As we mark its second anniversary, Gulshan-E-Armaan offered us a meaningful way to engage with Sindh’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage through the story of Shah Inayat, music and storytelling. We are grateful to everyone who continues to engage with the gallery and contribute to keeping these stories and traditions in conversation.”

The Lost Homeland of Sindh is a gallery at The Partition Museum and Cultural Hub, Delhi, dedicated to documenting and presenting the history, culture, memories and lived experiences associated with Sindh and its people.
The Sindhi Culture Foundation works towards researching, preserving and sharing Sindhi culture and its diverse traditions. It is the producer of Doorway to Sindh, an acclaimed YouTube series exploring Sindhi history, identity and culture.
