Cilicant appoints Prabhsharan Kaur as Director, Marketing, India & Global Markets

Cilicant has appointed Prabhsharan Kaur as its Director, Marketing, India & Global Markets, adding an experienced marketing and communications professional to its leadership team as the active packaging company looks to strengthen its presence across India and overseas markets.
Kaur brings more than 17 years of experience across integrated marketing, corporate communications, brand strategy, investor relations, and executive storytelling. According to Cilicant, her broad experience will support the company’s efforts to sharpen its brand narrative, deepen engagement with B2B audiences, and build its market presence across geographies.
In her new role, Kaur will work with Cilicant’s teams on marketing and brand-building initiatives spanning India and global markets. Her mandate will also include supporting the company’s focus on active packaging innovation and the use of artificial intelligence in digital marketing.
The appointment comes as Cilicant continues to position its active packaging capabilities across sectors where product integrity and shelf life are critical. The Pune-headquartered company describes itself as a provider of active packaging solutions designed to increase product shelf life, with applications across areas including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, food, nutraceuticals, and industrial products. The company has a presence across more than 30 countries.
Kaur joins Cilicant after working with SKF, where she was associated with external communications, brand and PR for India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Her recent work at SKF included communications around the demerger of SKF India Industrial and SKF India Limited, including corporate identity, investor communications, regional PR, and executive storytelling.
Her career also includes experience at Avery Dennison, where she worked in marketing communications and brand communications for South Asia. During her tenure, she was involved in communicating the company’s work across packaging, RFID, and intelligent-label solutions. In 2021, Kaur spoke about how the pandemic had accelerated the adoption of digital technology and created new possibilities for companies to connect with global audiences.
Kaur has also increasingly focused on the intersection of marketing, communications, technology, and business strategy. In a recent discussion on digital narratives, she highlighted the importance of using data to understand changing audience behaviour, while arguing that AI-driven content creation still needs to be anchored in strategy and insight.
Her appointment follows a period of professional recognition. Earlier this year, Kaur was recognised as a Rising Star at the Marketing and Communication Excellence Awards 2026, presented by Team Marksmen Network. She was also featured in BW Marketing World’s 40 Under 40 recognition programme.
For Cilicant, the appointment brings together B2B marketing experience, corporate communications, brand strategy, and international market exposure at a time when packaging businesses are increasingly competing on innovation, technology, and the ability to communicate complex value propositions clearly.
For Kaur, the move marks a shift into a broader marketing leadership mandate, extending her experience in communications and brand strategy into a role directly focused on Cilicant’s India and global market ambitions.
