P&G strengthens leadership with Shailesh Jejurikar’s appointment as Chairman

As companies strengthen their leadership to navigate this dynamic landscape, Procter & Gamble has appointed Shailesh Jejurikar as Chairman of its Board of Directors, effective August 1, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the company’s leadership journey while reinforcing the growing influence of Indian-origin executives on the global corporate stage.
A P&G veteran, Jejurikar joined the company in 1989 as an Assistant Brand Manager in India and has spent over three decades leading businesses across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Throughout his career, he has held several leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer and CEO of the company’s Fabric & Home Care business, while also championing P&G’s global sustainability agenda between 2016 and 2021.
Jejurikar made a statement, “I want to thank Jon for his many years of tireless and steady leadership at P&G, having served in key roles including Executive Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer throughout his 38 years of dedicated service to the company,”
“Jon’s strategic vision has been instrumental in shaping the company P&G is today, and we have benefited from his unwavering courage and his profound care for this institution and its people,” he added.
Jejurikar’s elevation reflects P&G’s longstanding tradition of developing leaders from within and reinforces the growing influence of Indian-origin executives in global boardrooms.
